Council Of Constantine

The act Constantine Noble is created and produced by the Danish Singer, Actor & multi-instrumentalist Claes Cem.

Like a Pilgrim, Claes Cem has travelled most of the known world with his guitar as his sole companion. He has immersed himself in a search for compelling stories containing an element of self-development and life-defining events.

This calling to improve as a person and as a storyteller has led him on an adventure, encountering people from every walk of life, breaking bread with them while listening to their stories and philosophies. The character Constantine Noble was born in the midst of returning home from a journey spanning from the plains of America to the mountains of India.

Constantine the character is the embodiment of a victorian explorer setting out to map the world & a Viking prince using his guitar & mandolin as his weapons.

The costumes of Constantine Noble were created carefully by the Danish fashion designer Rasmus Seidlitz, who specializes in a unique style merging medieval times with British gentlemen outfits from the late 1800s.

The cinematic concept plays a major part in bringing the Constantine Noble project to life. Attached to the first album, “A Grain Of Sand” will be three narrative music videos.

These first three chapters will establish Constantine’s character and be the set-up for his future adventures. The stories will be told from the perspective of Constantine sitting in an old castle thinking back on events from his life.

To achieve a strong cinematic experience, Claes Cem has teamed up with his old travelling buddy, the accomplished cinematographer Morten Lovechild. Each of the music videos will start and end with an approximate One-minute short-film. Below you can find (unreleased) Chapter I & prologue

Constantine Noble is musically inspired by his many adventures around the world – especially Latin & Spanish flavors mixed with the nordic-folk tradition of storytelling. 

The first album “A Grain Of Sand” consists of nine compositions, all recorded, produced In Denmark & mixed at Realworld Studio, England.

For major events & concerts, Constantine Noble will assemble a full orchestra of highly skilled craftsmen in a live production of epic story-telling.

Alongside a full array of instruments, costumes, and the perfect ambience, Constantine Noble will summon his cinematographer & visual experts to bring adventure to life in full HD with cinematic clips, syncing with the music.

Because the cinematic elements of Constantine Noble play a major part of the project, the music is naturally suited for placements in TV &  film.

The target demographics are likely to be fans of similar artists including Sting, Paul Simon, Loreena McKennitt, Hamilton, First Aid Kit, Shakespeare In The Park.

Due to the lyrical nature of the project, another likely target audience would be the spiritual, self-help communities.

A good example of this is the track “Listen To Your Heartbeat” which is inspired by the renowned book by Paulo Coelho “The Alchemist”.
